I love it when customers give me new challenges!
This one was a baby shower cake that I had done before... but the customer wanted a tie dye blanket.
Now, I know how to tie dye material, but fondant is another story.
I had fun experimenting and learning how!

I love that the customer took the idea and made it their own with suggesting the camouflage blanket!

We all know our dogs are our first babies...

So I was proud to make a first "baby" welcoming the new little one.

Pretty in Pink - Baby shower cake

Giggles and curls, ribbons and bows- She's so adorable from her head to her toes!

Of course when you think of little girls, you think of pink and bows.  I think this cake fits the bill perfectly welcoming a new little one.

The cake is a strawberry cake with a strawberry buttercream covered in fondant.

Jungle Baby Reveal Cake

I had such a wonderful time making this baby reveal cake!

It's the newest craze, you know... parents throwing a party to reveal 

whether they will have a bouncing baby boy or girl.

Well... the excited mommy-to-be decided she wanted the cake decorated 

to match the theme of the baby's room - jungle.

Despite the fact that they said the animals were so cute,

It didn't keep them from cutting in. :)

Of course I had to include a sign with this cute little monkey.

Can you guess what they are having?? YAY! A little boy!

The nursery was painted in this color green and had black tree accents.
The mother got a cake to match.

Sock Monkey Cake

My sister-in-law was expecting a little boy... knowing how much my brother LOVED his sock monkey when he was little, I just couldn't resist in making the shower a sock monkey baby shower with a sock monkey cake.

Animal / Sports baby shower cake

This one was made for a  baby shower.  Their bedding in the baby's room was animals playing sports. 

I used it as my inspiration for the cake.

This was my first real attempt in sculpting things out of fondant.  

I was very pleased with the results.
