Horse cake

This birthday cake was made for a young girl who loves horses.

(I mean, honestly, what little girl isn't in love with horses sometime in their childhood??  I know I was!)

So, it was a true joy to make this cake for her!

Boxer dog cake

The birthday girl wanted her favorite little pooch (a boxer) to be part of the celebration.

Wouldn't you know it that her favorite cake is chocolate and so is her puppy's name?

The nursery was painted in this color green and had black tree accents.
The mother got a cake to match.

Bad Plastic Surgery Party

I love it when themes are followed... all the way down to the costumes required and the cake!

This was for a Bad Plastic Surgery party.
I loved that they wanted it to look like the old Operations game board... with some surgeries that needed to be done... and some bad ones that already happened.

Mocha cupcakes with espresso butter cream frosting

A bride gets what a bride wants... and this bride wanted to make sure she was WIDE awake for her party.
Okay... maybe not, but she does love the flavor of coffee and requested her cupcakes to reflect that love.

So, I made her mocha cupcakes with espresso butter cream frosting.

They were delicious... and gave you a little caffeine jolt. :)

Minecraft Cake

Do you know why I love doing cakes for others??  Because they open my world to know things that I wouldn't normally get to know about.

I made this Minecraft cake for a 13 year old who LOVES to play this game on his xbox 360.  I had no idea that this game even existed.  But I quickly learned of this pixelated world.

Here is the result...

Tangled cake and cupcakes

This cake and cupcakes were made for a special little girl's 4th birthday.

She wanted cupcakes to share with her friends at her daycare.  Pascal is such a fun friend in the movie Tangled so we added him to the cupcake design.

Then her mom and I incorporated several ideas from different cakes to create the birthday girl's cake.
I love adding all the little details.

 Here's the cake set up and ready to go for the party.  The tower was not edible, but the cakes underneath were.

Lamb baptism cake

I have always seen a lamb shaped cake for baptisms... I don't have that pan... and I always thought there had to be a cute substitute.
I think I found it.

25th Anniversary Dove Cake

This was made for a couple who were renewing their vows after 25 years.
She told me that they were releasing doves at their ceremony, that they loved the color lavender, and they wanted silver included in honor of their 25th.

Pokemon Card Cake

For my latest cake, the birthday boy is a huge Pokemon fan.
His parents requested a cake that looked like his favorite Pokemon card - Charizard.
